About
Jason Parser (b. 1997) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges the gap between 19th-century Romanticism and the algorithmic sublime. Pioneering a custom-built generative workflow, he treats the neural network not as a tool for illustration, but as a vast, untamed landscape to be documented. His work has circulated to millions online, often sparking debate regarding the nature of authorship and the soul of the machine.
The works are generated using a bespoke, proprietary software architecture developed by the artist. This process allows for the creation of high-fidelity digital negatives capable of monumental scale, transcending the limitations of commercial AI tools.
Each work begins as an exploration into the hidden geometries of machine perception, a negotiation between intention and emergence. The resulting images are not illustrations of ideas but artefacts of a process, residues of a dialogue with systems that see differently than we do.
Each work exists as both a digital object and a physical archival pigment print on cotton rag. Physical editions are limited to 7 prints per image.
